Using Nabbit Ads, an advertiser can run an ad on the radio offering to send a coupon to the mobile phone of listeners who Nabb their radio ad. At the same time, Nabbit will place an online ad in the listener's personal web account found at Nabbit.com. This ad can be personalized based on the listener's demographics, insuring that they see a message that is relevant to them.

Nabbit makes radio interactive by allowing listeners to Nabb any song or ad they hear by pressing a single button on their mobile phone. Nabbed songs can be downloaded into the listener's favorite music library such as iTunes, Napster, AmazonMP3 or Wal-Mart Music. They can also look up concert information and song lyrics, and download ringtones. Listeners can also Nabb ads that they hear on air and be connected with special offers and promotions offered by Nabbit advertisers.

Advertisers will benefit from increased sales that result from consumers hearing their message through multiple integrated mediums. They will maximize their advertising dollars by getting the reach of radio and all of the accountability of the Internet.

"Abuse of classified Ad sites is a well known technique for collecting email addresses that are then used by or sold to spammers," said Jay Fink, COO of EnterTo Inc. The last thing users need is that spammers obtain their email address - our protected email resolves the issue both for classified ads and, if the users wishes, for all their email. EnterTo's technological approach to eliminating spam allocates, in the background, unique email addresses to every email correspondent. Email from all these addresses ends up in the recipients single inbox and there is no need for a 'junk' email box. If a spam email is ever received via one of these email addresses that address is simply eliminated and the legitimate user of that address is allocated a new one. Email sent to eliminated addresses simply 'bounces' back to the sender as a non-existent address. There are no filters to manage or update and no 'false positives' or 'lost' emails. The industry's existing approach of filtering out spam into junk folders is swamped despite huge investments of human effort trying to keep spam filters up-to-date and working correctly. Users still have to check their 'junk' location for any false positives or else 'lose' emails. EnterTo has a far better solution - and it's free to private users - financially supported by ads at the bottom of the email.

E-mail spam, also known as "bulk e-mail" or "junk e-mail," involves nearly identical messages sent to numerous recipients by e-mail - the key aspects are that the email is unsolicited and is sent in bulk. E-mail spam grew exponentially to over 100 billion emails per day as of April 2008. Laws against spam have been sporadically implemented but haven't solved the problem which continues to frustrate and annoy e-mail users as it wasted their time. In cost terms lost US productivity reached $71 billion annually in 2007, $712 per employee, according to a study conducted by Nucleus Research Inc. With legal approaches unable to solve the problem the solution has been largely left to technology. Complex techniques have been implemented to filter and refuse spam based on the content of the e-mail, DNS-based blackhole lists, greylisting, spamtraps, enforcing technical requirements of e-mail (SMTP), checksumming systems to detect bulk email, and by putting some sort of cost on the sender via a proof-of-work system or a micropayment. Why: Because the Health Insurance industry does not understand the significance of adequate eating disorders treatment, insurance policies will rarely cover the cost of successful inpatient treatment. Without assistance, those in need of this type of inpatient treatment will have no other option but to pay the full price of treatment.

Being awarded a Scholarship from the Manna Fund provides the scholarship winner with:

· An active role in the choosing the treatment facility
· The opportunity to receive adequate, life-saving care
· Options to extended treatment that previously weren't available through the health insurance and/or to patients that have no inpatient benefits
· A greater chance of recovery due to access to the In-Patient services
· The opportunity to gain wholeness and in turn give back to others in need.

How: In order to provide adequate eating disorder treatment for those in need, Manna Scholarship Fund seeks to raise funds through many avenues, including in-kind donations, outreach programming that focuses on family investment (jewelry-making parties, bowling tournaments), corporate sponsorships, and grants. Manna Scholarship Fund has raised nearly $100,000 for scholarships in the past year and a half, supplying three individuals with the necessary inpatient treatment and reaching a hundred families through outreach. As the word has gotten out about the existence of this fund, scholarship application submission has sky-rocketed.

What/When: In order to contribute to this need, Manna Scholarship Fund is hosting a fundraising dinner "Manna in Motion" to promote the scholarship fund and to raise awareness of this great need to the public. I CONFESS, I'M addicted to magazines.  I can't go anywhere near a newsstand or bookstore without coming away with at least one.  So seeing a free pile of magazines sitting anywhere is practically like hitting the lottery -- or at least winning on a scratch-off ticket.

I was up in Traverse City, Mich. earlier this month at the Traverse City Film Festival hanging out with my "good friends" Madonna and Michael Moore when I spied a pile of IFQs sitting on a table in one of the theater lobbies. Score!

The cover is intriguing. A black and white photo of a female who looks like a cross between a young Deborah Harry and Nico is set against a pink background. The issue is billed as the "Cannes Special Edition."  Even though Danny Glover is the only name I recognized on the cover (I'll admit it, I like movies but I'm no art film aficionado) I figure maybe I'll know who some of the people are after reading about them. And maybe I'd learn something I didn't know from perusing the usual bourgeois entertainment zines.

As it turns out, the cover model is Emmanuelle Seigner, who appeared in "The Diving Bell and The Butterfly," which I have heard of.  She's married to legendary director Roman Polanski. Penned by Nicole Holland, the interview is Q&A style and while it's decently written and somewhat interesting, I couldn't help but cringe at some of the "questions." I use quote marks because in several cases they aren't so much questions as statements of fawning adoration. Obviously the interviewee is a big deal in the film industry, but the tone of the article struck me as unprofessional and amateurish.  I felt more like I was reading a high school newspaper than an internationally circulated magazine.

If that were the only such article in the 64-page magazine, I could give it a pass. But wait, there's more. We move on to another Q&A piece by Nicole  Holland, this time with Asia Argento, whose father, Dario Argento, is a big-deal director in Europe. I've never heard of either of them or their movies, but the four-page piece is much the same as the first piece.

Moving along, there's another three-page Q&A by Nicole Holland, this time with Cecile De France, another actress I've never heard of.  She was in a French movie with Gerard Depardieu. Finally, someone I have heard of. I'd been starting to feel seriously un-artsy fartsy.

The magazine describes itself on its Web site as "one of the fastest growing Film/Art & Society magazines featuring exclusive in-depth interviews with celebrated iconic figures in film, music and pop culture. IFQ invites  you to experience this avant-garde film and pop culture movement."  The  advertising statistics sheet states that the target audience includes "producers, actors, directors, musicians, artists, film distributors, record  labels, entertainment attorneys, dub houses, film labs, film festival directors, music festival directors, art festival directors, editors and the general public alike." I'm guessing they skew fairly young since the magazine has a profile on MySpace.

IFQ can be found in select Barnes & Nobles, Borders, Books-A-Million, on 3,000 newsstands nationwide and at domestic and international film, music and art  festivals and related events. It has controlled circulation mailings that  are sent to industry leaders, trade shows, music festivals, art festivals and film festivals, domestic and international.

Every article in the magazine is in Q&A style.  While I don't mind that formatting as an occasional alternative to the objective third-person narration, it becomes grating after a while.  Unless the person is a really big deal, I don't think it's necessary to preserve every single word they say.  Spare the reader the gory details and get to the point. Exercise your competence as a writer and spin a tale that draws me in.  Otherwise my take is that the writer is just being lazy or doesn't know how to write an actual story.  But maybe to the 20,000 readers of this magazine, all of these interviews ARE with big-deal people.  In which case, I guess all I can say is, "Enjoy."

If you have received an  email like the one below, be aware that what they offer requires that people download something that is advertised as a "browser upgrade", but is in fact just something so they can advertise their client's sites. It pushes down the normal search results and may slow your browser or cause problems. It may even contain spyware, but I don't know since I sure as hell am not going to install and try it. When most people realize what it is they uninstall it right away...!!!
 
This is an old scam and I am surprised that people are still trying to fool others, but there must be many have not heard about this worthless wasted of money.

1) Since you are using an automated system to generate and send these messages, you don't realize you have contacted another SEO firm, somewhat like yourself. Frankly, when I read your message I felt a little insulted, but then I felt pity. Not reviewing the sites of those you contact makes you look lazy at best. At worst, you look like yet another email spammer. Being reported for spam could get your hosting account shut down and hurt your reputation, so I would stop doing that at once. If we receive another message like this at another of our sites, we will report it.
 
2) Links are an important factor, but we consider content to be the most important thing. A site with few links and lots of great content will always do much, much better that a site with poor content and lots and lots of links. I think that makes sense, don't you? And since linking is abused so much today, I would never base any strategy just on a method that may not work or may not work as well in the future.
 
3) The old concept of getting high rankings for just a few keywords is no longer seen as providing the best ROI except for those with nearly unlimited budgets to spend. Learn about optimizing for the "long tail of search" as they call it, and you will be equipped to provide much more value for your clients. Long tail optimization does not need monthly updates to keep it working, for example. Stop feeding the clients the idea that they have to see their site listed for this keyword and that keyword. Rather help them to understand that while rankings are nice, it's the increase of quality traffic overall that is the most important thing. Traffic and visitor conversion should equal greater sales.
 
4) I don't understand why SEO companies such as yours, who have been doing this for a while, don't realize that if the services you provide work, you would be doing them for yourself to get business. Since you have to send out SPAM like this, it sends a clear message that what you do DOES NOT WORK.

The two companies will work together to develop more effective advertising metrics, attract non-traditional advertising partners to NBCU and incorporate self-service buying opportunities through the Google TV AdsT advertising platform.

    On the national level, NBCU will offer advertising time from several of its cable networks to Google's TV Ads platform. Inventory from Sci Fi, Oxygen, MSNBC, CNBC, Sleuth, and Chiller will be made available to Google in the coming months, with potential to expand onto other NBCU properties in the future. With the addition of NBC Universal inventory, advertisers using the Google TV Ads platform can reach NBCU Cable's national audience and gain access to viewership data at an unprecedented scale.     The iShares MSCI Chile ETF gained nearly 9% in the first quarter, while the S&P 500 fell 10%. ECH hit an all-time high on April 23, but has fallen 17.9% since, including a 12% drop in the three months ended Aug. 29. Over the latter period, the S&P 500 fell just 8%.

    "That's not the kind of returns investors here have come to expect," reflected Dion, "over the five years prior to the fund's high, Latin American funds averaged a 44% annualized gain."

    Despite recent disappointments, Dion maintains that ECH has held up "better than most" amongst its peers. The ETF is off 7.3% this year-beating the MSCI EAFE Index by more than 11%. ECH's three-month performance ranks in the top 1% of Latin American funds and beats the MSCI EAFE Iindex by more than two percentage points. ECH also outperformed iShares' Emerging Markets (down 20.6%), Brazil (down 26.1%) and Latin America 40 (down 21.9%) for that period.

    "ECH was promoted as an indirect play on growth in China and India," Dion said, "thanks to its natural resources-and for having a market that is less risky than it used to be, backed by a growing domestic economy." That, bulls say, may still be the case-at least in the long term.

    School Files Suit Over College Professor/Attorney

    Taft Law School Files Suit Over Ballot Designation of League of Women Voters Leader

    SANTA ANA, Calif.-- September 03, 2008 --Robert K. Strouse, Dean of Taft Law School, announced today that a lawsuit has been filed challenging the ballot designation of a candidate for the Coast Community College District. Charlotte Pirch, who is president of an Orange County Chapter of the League of Women Voters, listed her profession as "College Professor/Attorney." According to Strouse, on numerous occasions Ms. Pirch has refused to provide any evidence that would support her claim that she is, or ever has been, a college professor.

    Strouse commented, "It's disturbing that a leader of the League of Women Voters, an organization that for decades has had a mission of providing accurate information to voters, would engage in such conduct."

    Strouse acknowledged that these types of lawsuits are rare and difficult to win. The election code only allows a small window of time to file the case and document facts. "There's a great deal of time pressure and it's costly. But recent Orange County School Board elections have demonstrated that ballot designations matter."

    Over the past few election cycles, Taft Law School has identified many questionable ballot designations. Taft Law School takes a non-partisan position. "Local candidates from both major parties have engaged in this type of questionable conduct. A win in this case could deter others who might be tempted to violate the election laws in the future."

    In an effort to reduce the cost involved in challenging ballot designations, Taft Law School will provide at no cost to future candidates, copies of its pleadings in this case. Taft Law School is not a law firm and does not represent clients, but making available the pleadings in this case might help reduce costs to future candidates.

    LA JOLLA, Calif.-- September 01, 2008 --Envision Solar, the La Jolla, California based firm best known for its award-winning design of the Solar TreesT in Kyocera's landmark Solar GroveT, has expanded its product line of photovoltaic shade structures to include two "flat-pack" easy to install modular shade structures, each with eight solar panels providing 1.4 kilowatt of clean energy.

    The LifeTreeT is a single post steel structure with a cantilevered canopy, and the LifeShadeT is a four-post structure made of Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) certified sustainable wood. Both are an attractive and functional application of solar power that provides recreational shade, without a requirement for a complex and invasive rooftop installation. The structures are shipped in easy to assemble components and include solar power modules, micro-inverters, and access to an online real-time tracking system to monitor production of clean energy. The structures are anchored in post-holes by concrete, in much the same way that basketball hoops or flagpoles are installed, and a local electrician can connect the AC wiring from the structure to the house meter.

    At a price point of $15,500 for the LifeShadeT and $18,500 for the LifeTreeT, these new products offer a lower cost solar power option for homeowners and businesses. Envision Solar designers have focused on modularity as an important goal, because it offers price efficiency and accessibility to clean energy to more people. CEO Robert Noble adds, "We are committed to massive retail deployment of this product in a flat-pack format for local assembly and installation."

    In addition to their attractive design and low price, The LifeTreeT and LifeShadeT products offer state of the art technical features; they were designed specifically for photovoltaic modules made by Suntech, and both the LifeTreeT and the LifeShadeT are equipped with "micro-inverters" from Enphase Energy. Micro-inverters convert the energy from the sun into usable alternating current at each module, eliminating the need for a bulky inverter on the side of the building at the meter and making connection to the meter a less costly undertaking. Enphase Energy also offers online access to a real-time monitoring package so that owners can track their clean energy production.
